International gymnastic teams are composed of six individuals, all of whom must compete in the six events for men or four events for women. In determining the team score the score for the poorest competitor is dropped, and the five best scores are added to give the team score in each event. Thus the maximum event score for a team is 50 points, and the maximum team score is 300 for men and 200 for women. Though the lowest competitor's score is dropped in determinŽing the event score for the team, it is included in obtaining the all-round or total score for that individual.

About 70 colleges and universities offer programs to train health education teachers, and the profession is growing. Members of the proŽfession feel strongly that health education should not be considered a part of physical education and that physical education should not be a branch of health education. Some high schools now give a half year to physical education and a half year to health instruction. |
