The Education Required:

The Education Required About 70 colleges and universities offer programs to train health education teachers, and The education required profession is growing. Members of The education required pro¬fession feel strongly that health education should not be considered a part of physical education and that physical education should not be a branch of health education. Some high schools now give a half year to physical education and a half year to health instruction.

Forster's Education Act 1870, which heralded compulsory state edu¬cation, made provision for school boards to ensure attendance but The education requiredy were not compelled to do so, though later Acts strengThe education requiredned this aspect. More recent Education Acts, however, have reinstated The education required right of parents to opt to educate The education requiredir children 'at home', though this has often been made difficult and met with social and administrative dis¬approbation. This was enshrined in The education required Education Act 1944 where The education required term 'education oThe education requiredrwise' was coined, and again in Section 7 of The education required Education Act 1996 which states:

See Also And Education Are Offered:

Special programs in art, music, science, and education are offered in the Summer Session. In the field of research impor¬tant contributions to pure and applied science have been made by the Agricultural and Engineer¬ing experiment stations and by the Narragansett Laboratory of Oceanography and Marine Biology. Technical services for business, industry, labor, and agriculture and general education for adults are offered through the University Extension Di¬vision and the Extension Division in Agriculture and Home Economics.

It is certainly true that there are differences between the curriculum offered to French pupils and the present form of the primary cur¬riculum in England. In particular there is the complete absence of reli¬gious education in France, which has always been banned in state schools, and the inclusion of civic education right from the beginning stages of elementary education. The situation in England is of course the reverse.

On The Other Hand See Primary Education In Britain:

Primary Level Experimental Programs. Primary education in Britain is free and compulsory for all children from the exceptionally early age of 5, but there is very little public provision of nursery education. Most primary schools are divided into an infant section, from 5 to 7, and a junior section, from 7 to 11. Most local author¬ities have begun to close down the small village primary schools, where one or two teachers taught the whole age range, and have been trans¬porting the children to larger schools in the big¬ger villages and towns.

Education.—Primary education is free, secular, and compulsory up to age 14. Children in isolated areas receive tuition from the state cor¬respondence school. While four fifths of primary school children attend state schools, much sec¬ondary education is provided by undenominational grammar schools subsidized by the state. Films and Australian Broadcasting Commission radio education programs are widely used. Queensland University, a state institution founded in 1911, has 11 faculties.
