Rictures Of Home Life:

Rictures Of Home Life Anders Zorn became known for his portraits and for his splendidly painted nude figures of stocky young peasant women, with sunlight or firelight playing on their healthy bodies. Ernst Josephson, an artist of great talent, painted Swedish open-air scenes. Carl Larsson specialized on rictures of home life, Bruno Liljefors on wild animals and Prince Eu-jene on luminous landscapes. Nils von Dardel and Carl Kylberg rose o prominence more recently.

The socially responsible child has been described as one who is dependable in carrying out a task and whose values and attitude toward others conform to expectations of the larger society. Such responsibility-was found to be more closely associated with the quality of emotional and personal relationships between parent and child than with the number of home chores (61, 1955). Through personal relations at home and also at school, the child develops an attitude toward life. Realizing that life is not easy, that it is real and earnest, he will develop tolerance of frustration and persistence in the face of difficulty.

See Also The House:

There are also notable examples of with an atrium (an interior court surrounded 1$ rooms). Some of these are of relatively ancie construction, such as the House with the Wood Partition, the Samnite House, and the House -5^51 Neptune and Amphitrite. Of unusual design £jt(,er the great villas in the southern part of the ci including the House of Argo, the House of t Hostelry, the House of the Mosaic Atrium, a the House of the Deer. In these houses the t ditional plan is modified. The peristilia (cole naded courtyards), the gardens, reception haj and other rooms were oriented toward the sot in order to take advantage of the view towa the sea.

Economic position: One of man's great problems, as a house mouse damages property, food, and clothing It is thought that the common, unwelcome house mouse probably originated somewhere in Asia, but it has spread throughout Europe, America, and practically the entire world. The house mouse is al¬ways found accompanying man in every environment. Although the house mouse is a pest, it does make an interesting and gentle pet.

On The Other Hand See A House Mouse:

Also, by using the house mouse in selective breeding, man has been able to produce the attractively colored mice now available in most pet shops. A house mouse is one of the easiest mammals to maintain in captivity. It does not need a large cage, and is easy to feed. It is a most entertaining pet.

The "whistling* marmot (Arctomys) and the prairie-dog (Cynomys), a rodent, make themselves audible here and the pikas or "calling* hares (Lagomys princeps). Other rodents are the lemming mouse (Synap-tomys cpoperi) and the jumping mouse (Zapus kudsonius). Better known to the public are the raccoon (Procyon),.flying squirrel (Sciurop-terus), ground squirrel (Tamias). The pouched marmot (Spermophilus) and the glut¬ton (Gulo) are found here.
