Mother -child: 1. An unloving mother -child is probably more likely to part with a child; the child may sense her lack of affection.
2. The child is not easy to love; in fretting for his mother -child he tends to reject others; if he does become attached to someone else, he is greedy and jealous in the relationship.
3. On his return to his mother -child, he may fail to recognize her, or reject her outright, or behave in a possessive and whining manner.
To build your set of samples, go to the mother -child of the most charming child you can find, a child with an intelligent face and bright expressions, and offer to give the mother -child a picture of her baby without charge if she'll have her child model for you. Tell her frankly that you need the pictures for samples. She will be proud to cooperate.
Then proceed to shoot dozens of pictures of that child.
Shoot several sittings, spacing them far enough apart for you to see the final results of each sitting before you shoot an¬other, and shoot ten times as many negatives as you would in an ordinary sitting.
The idea, you see, is to assemble a set of pictures of this one child which will bring agonies of envy to every other mother -child who sees this masterpiece set.See Also Mother Tongue':This development can take place through the medium of any language, so use of the mother tongue' tongue can be encouraged, since it is via this language that parents will be more fluent and can convey more complex meaning to their children. When you explain this to parents, ask them to talk, tell stories and use books in the mother tongue' tongue at home. They could also use the simple reading books that are now available in various lan¬guages, sometimes with English translations (e.g. The Snowy Day, published by Bodley Head). An alternative is to use books which contain space for texts in other languages, such as The Terraced House Books, published by Methuen.
During the following decade, schools and education authorities were expected to establish language policies that would recognise and support a variety of mother tongue' tongues. Bilingual children were to be considered an advantage in the classroom. The Cox Report (1988) reit¬erated this viewpoint, suggesting that 'these children would make greater progress in English if their mother tongue' tongue skills were encour¬aged and valued' (Cox 1988, p. xx).
On The Other Hand See His Mother And Friends:The mother-child relationship is so crucial to the baby because he is almost entirely dependent on his mother and friends mother. During the first two years he has few satisfactions other than his mother and friends close relationship with her, and to a lesser extent with the rest of the family. He cannot turn to friends for solace be¬cause his mother and friends social environment is limited. When his mother and friends mother fails to give him the affection he needs he has nowhere to turn.
Your first suggestion to the mother of the future bride is that she present a set of pictures to the happy couple as one of her wedding gifts. If you do not sell the idea here, your next prospect is the mother of the bridegroom. Then there are other good prospects for pictures among friends and rel¬atives of the couple and finally there are the young people themselves, particularly the bride-to-be. |
