Lops For Small Craft:

Lops For Small Craft By definition, an observer is somewhere on a line of position. If he is on both of two lines of position, he must be at their intersection, and a fix is established. Visual bearings are the most likely source of LOPs for small craft. A range, either from aids to navigation or landmarks, proŽvides an excellent LOP.

If three LOPs can be obtained, the credibility of the resulting fix will improve considerably; the ideal crossing angles in this case would be 60°. Do not, however, expect to have a single point of intersection; this is unlikely due to unavoidable small inaccuracies in observations. Expect to get a small triangle, and then use its center, gauged visually, as the fix. If the triangle is large, discard the observations and try again. Normally, more than three EOPs are not taken.

See Also From Small Groups:

By 1901 the population of Quebec had reached 1,648,898, of whom 1,322,115 (80.2 per cent) were of French origin and 292,169 (17.6 per cent) were of British Isles origin. Sixty-five years later the census showed that of a total population of 5,510,845 in Quebec, 81 per cent were still of French origin, while 11 per cent were of British Isles origin. The next two largest groups were of Italian and Jewish extraction. Polish, GerŽman, Ukrainian, Eskimo, Indian, and many other from small groups groups make up the balance of the populaŽtion. Of the two main origin groups, French and British, a majority of each speak only their mother tongue. However, about one person out of four in these groups speaks both French and English.

Group dynamics may be distin-' by its emphasis on the dynamic forces in groups and on the interdependence members. The from small groups group, which is as a dynamic, interrelated whole, is of group dynamic research. In the of groups, the two key variables are cohe-and locomotion.

On The Other Hand See Home A Small Aviary:

The ring-necked dove is equally as excellent for a pet as the pigeon. It is also intelligent, very gentle, affectionate, and altogether delightful. It is easily maintained when properly housed and fed, and given freedom in the room. At home a small aviary or screened-in porch is ideal.

Use large bird cage (see Part IV) for a pair or place them in small outdoor aviary. Provide standard wooden nesting box for love birds; purchase at pet store. Place box high up at back of cage or aviary; leave in cage at all times as mated pair sleep in box at night. ProŽvide 6-8-inch sections of honeysuckle or similar vines, bunches of long grasses, and pieces of green palm leaves as nesting material.
