Lever House:

Lever House The first was the lever escapement invented by Thomas Mudge of London in 1765, which was an adaptation of the deadbeat escapement which George Graham (1673-1751) had used in clocks and a forerunner of the modern jeweled lever escapement. In Mudge's escapement, a lever with two pallets controlled the action of a toothed escape wheel. Each pallet had a locking point and an impulse surface. As the balance wheel, which was attached to the same staff as the roller, went into its counterclockwise arc, it exerted sufficient force to cause the impulse Pin to move the lever and the pallets far enough to release the wheel tooth on the escape wheel from the locking face of the left-hand or entry pallet.

The company owns the Seagram Building and the Lever House, among other properties in the city. The New York Post reported in January 2005 that Rosen and Fuchs paid $31.5 million for the YWCA property.
