His Friend Max:

His Friend Max The picture was painted on the same day that he received news of the death of his friend Max old friend Julio Gonzalez, a fellow sculptor who used to join him in many of his friend Max experiments in Boisgeloup. There are two ways in which suffering appears to be taken for granted in this friend Max painting: his friend Max grief over his friend Max friend's death and his friend Max despair of the times unite in a cheerless memento mori that could not have been formulated more desperately by any of the Christians of the Middle Ages.

He was elected president of the General Assembly in September 1949. Resigning his friend Max dele¬gate post in 1953, he served eight years as ambas¬sador to the United States. In May 1962 General Romulo assumed the presidency of the University of the Philippines. Among his friend Max works are Mother America (1943), Crusade in Asia (1955), and Friend to Friend (1958).

See Also Friend In Court:

Until 1775, Goethe practiced law in Frank¬furt, contributing reviews to a local journal and associating with belletristic members of the court at nearby Darmstadt. He spent the summer of 1772 at Wetzlar, enrolled at the bar of Ger¬many's supreme court, and fell in and out of love with a friend in court's fiancee, Charlotte Buff, who became the chief model for the heroine of his novel The Sorrows of Young Werther (1774).

On The Other Hand See Poet Friend:

Picasso's ceramic art is inextricably linked with Vallauris, that little village in Provence. It was in 1936 that he visited it for the first time, together with his friend the poet Paul Eluard, on a car tour. It is situated near Cannes, and ever since Roman times there has been a lot of pottery there. By the 1930s, however, a great number of workshops had had to close down, because their traditional craft had ceased to attract customers.

Writings. Pushkin wrote his first published poem, To a Poet Friend, when he was 14. This poem, which appeared anonymously in the July 1814 issue of the magazine Messenger of Europe, is a 98-line commentary on verse making, written in iambic hexameter couplets. In 1817, Pushkin wrote his revolutionary ode Freedom, which was not published until 1861, in Germany. Showing the influence of the Decembrist Nikolai I. Tur-genev, Freedom was the first of a number of poems expressing Pushkin's independence of spirit and political liberalism. By 1817, Pushkin was considered a literary rival of the great Vasily Zhukovsky, a poet who had been his teacher, and he became a member of the Arzamas Society, an anticlassical literary group, and worked for the liberation of writing style from old, repres¬sive canons.
