His Brother Richard:

His Brother Richard ROBERT I (called THE DEVIL, duke of Xormandy: d. Nicaea, Asia Minor, July 22, 1035. Father of William the Conqueror and younger son of Duke Richard II, he succeeded his brother Richard III, whom he was accused of poisoning, in 1028. After stamping out an uprising of vas¬sals led by his uncle Robert, archbishop of Rouen and count of Evreux, he re-established his brother-in-law Baldwin IV as count of Flanders in 1030, and a year later, upon making an alliance with Henry I of France, received the French part of the district of Vexin.

Brought before the imperial Diet, Richard pledged himself to a ran¬som of 150,000 marks and received his English kingdom as a fief from the emperor. The in¬fluence of the French king and Richard's own brother was effectual in prolonging the English king's imprisonment. Liberated in March 1194 he landed in England in the same month and was crowned a second time.

On The Other Hand See Younger Brother Of John:

ROCKEFELLER, William, American ii dustrialist and financier : b. Richford, Tioga Coui ty, N.Y., May 31, 1841; d. Tarrytown, June 2 1922. The younger brother of John D. Rockefel¬ler, he went with his family to Ohio in 1853. Four years later he entered a Cleveland firm as a book¬keeper. In 1867 he became head of the firm of William Rockefeller & Company, which was es¬tablished as an export sales subsidiary of his brother's oil concern. This firm eventually became the Standard Oil Company of New York, which •he served as president until 1911. Besides his oil interests, he had large investments in railroads, utilities, and banks.

Problems do not occur singly. For example, Georgie, eight years old and the younger of two brothers, was a persistent feeding problem. His mother continually tried to force him to eat when his desire for food was low. As a result, eating became an emotional situation. He was re¬tarded in speech and reading, and appeared to enjoy the power over adults that he gained from his failure to talk and read like other children. He may also have sensed his older brother's hostility and have been afraid to succeed in school, lest he increase his brother's hostility toward him. He was restless and nervous. He was disobedient.
