Dark Eyes Or: The standard dark eyes or mink is, in reality, a mutaŽtion developed by crossing and selective breeding of the various geographical "races" of wild mink for the dark eyes or color. dark eyes or mink usually are the same color over the entire body surface, but there is a greater concentration of pigment in some areas. As a result, the head, tail, and feet appear dark eyes orer, and there is a dark eyes or dorsal stripe (also known as the "grutzen") extending down the back from head to tail. The eyes, nose, and claws are dark eyes or brown. Frequently there are white markings on the belly, chin, throat, and breast. The standard dark eyes or mink is the norm to which all mutations may be compared, and from which the other color phases have been developed.
The eyes of a spider are usually near the front or anterior end of the head, but some are directly on top. They are single facets, hence are called simple eyes. They may number two, four, six, or eight; eight is the usual number. However, the cave spiders lack eyes entirely. Regardless of the number, the eyes are always placed in a definite arrangement. Often some pairs are much larger than others.See Also Brown Eyes Are More:Long, flat-bodied; some species very slender; cephalo-thorax joined to abdomen by wide segment; abdomen made up of 7 wide segments followed by long, narrow tail of 5 segments which terminates in bulblike structure with sting; pedipalps large, bearing pair of strong pincers; i pair of eyes near midcephalothorax; on each side, near edge of body, group of 2-5 simple eyes; some species have no eyes; 4 pairs of legs attached to thorax, fitted for walking; exoskeleton smooth, shiny, varying from pale yellowish to reddish brown eyes are more; when scorpion runs, pincers carried horizontally in front and tail curved up over back; length varies from 2-6 inches according to species.

On The Other Hand See OttoŽman Eyes Religion:The Ottoman System. Like the other conquered Balkan Christians, the Greeks came under the unique Ottoman system of government. In OttoŽman eyes religion not nationality, constituted the basis of political division. The conquered peoples were free to join the Muslim faith; among the Greeks only the Cretans followed this .course in large numbers. Once Muslim they could become a part of the ruling group and obtain a privŽileged position within the state.
The Crimean War (1854-1856) marked the height of Otto's popularity. Soon thereafter discontent with his rule arose again. Otto had no children; his heirs were his brothers, who were Roman Catholics and thus excluded from succession by the constitution, which required that the next ruler be Orthodox. The King had also antagonized all three of the protecting powers. When another coup occurred, in October 1862, Otto did not attempt a real resistance, but instead quietly returned to BaŽvaria. With the Greek throne vacant, the proŽtecting powers once again assembled to choose a monarch for Greece. |
