Cliff Walk Along:

Cliff Walk Along A range of steep hills looms above the city, and along their flanks runs a superb scenic boulevard, the Strada Costiera, extending some 15 miles, all of it within the city's orbit. Three special belvederes at lofty levels are: Sistiana, directly above a like-named bathing beach; Villa Opicina, reach¬able by climbing tram, with a holiday inn (dancing on the terrace) called Albergo Obelisco (from here take a wonderful cliff walk along Strada Napoleonica); and the skyline village of Monrupino, loftiest of the three and with the finest view.

Again the best policy is that of "adult guidance in line with the child's own pattern of growth." Adults provide conditions favorable to the child's learning to walk, but they let him take his own time in beginning to sit, stand, and walk. Thus they aoid the danger of strain from premature, forced attempts to sit up and to walk. All babies tumble while learning muscular control, but mothers soon leam that babies are not breakable.

See Also Rarely Walk Upright:

Gorillas are massive animals with long, power¬ful arms and short, bowed legs. The face is black, and prominent browridges overhang the eyes. The coat of females and young males is brown to black, but adult males have a strikingly gray or silver back. Gorillas rarely walk upright, and then only for short distances; usually they support their body on the knuckles of the hands. They are primarily terrestrial, climbing into trees only occasionally to reach some food or to sleep for the night.

These have a single stem which supports an upright head of branches. A weeping standard consists of a single stem from which hangs an umbrella of weeping branches. These are upright climbers rarely growing higher that I Oft. They are sometimes trained against supports and their branch stumps left long enough to make tying-in easier.

On The Other Hand See Walk Into Virtually:

The child has a strong urge to walk. Even in countries where the baby's movements are hampered by swaddling children make progress as soon as they arc free to use their bodies. This means that in learning to walk maturation plays an important role. Environmental factors also enter in. For example, one twelve-month-old baby was making steady progress in learning to walk without help. One day he slipped on a small rug and fell on the slipper}' hardwood floor, hitting his head.

"We find it hard to get consistently good photography," the ad men sigh, resignedly. Ever so many of the ad men seem wistfully eager to try someone new, on the chance that the new man may be able to give them the kind of pictures they seek. Such an attitude, naturally, creates a climate in which the newcomer, if he can deliver the goods, can get a strong start and thrive remark¬ably—if, let us repeat, he can deliver the goods. You can walk into virtually any advertising agency in the land with a portfolio of your work and get an interested interview with the art director, or whoever in the agency is responsible for buying photography.
