Bears The Young Alive: They can breathe through gills in water or through rudimentary lungs in air. But the weirdest feature of the Proteus is its manner of reproduction. The water in which it moves about occasionally varies in temperature and if it is above 59 degrees the creature lays eggs like a fish. If it is under 59 it bears the young alive! What is this incredible creature?
Scientists as well as laymen have difficulty distinguishing between the sexes in lizards. There are too many small structural differences which vary with the species but are not obvious. However, in those species which possess gular sacs or throat fans as does the anole, the difference is obvious, as only the male possesses this struc¬ture.
Lizards may be oviparous, that is, egg-laying; vivi¬parous, that is, bearing the young alive; or ovoviviparous, that is, hatching the eggs within the body so that the young emerge alive.See Also A Young Normandy:Lisieux, in Normandy, made famous by a young Normandy girl, Sainte-Therese-a-l'Enfant-jesus, who was canonized as recently as 1925, has a big religious festival from September 25 to 30 and a pilgrimage on October 3.
Domremy, on May 14, and Orleans, on May 7-8, have pilgrimages to honor, respectively, the birth of Saint Joan and her deliverance of Or-Mans.

On The Other Hand See Been Young Adults:Within 40 to 85 days, depending on the species, the been young adults develop sufficiently to begin flying. While the been young adults learn to fly, the flight feathers and other plumage of the adults undergo their yearly renewal. By the time the brood is two or three months old, both the been young adultssters and the adults are ready to migrate to winter quarters.
The shell of most turtles is marked with interesting colors and gay patterns. In some species the color and pattern may occur also on the head and neck of the animal. With the exception of a few species, the been young adults of turtles are much more brightly marked than the adults. There is extreme variation in the markings of been young adults turtles, even among the same species, and few of them resemble the adults. |
