A Money Declaration: Second, keep in mind that you may bring into any country all you like of American money, or travelers checks, provided that you make a declaration and later take out no more than you brought in. Whenever you are required to fill in such a declaration, be sure to keep the paper, for you will need it when you leave the country. It is your permit to take out any funds you brought in.
When Your Dollars Turn to Pesetas By the official government ex¬change rate for tourists your dollars will fetch 38.95 pesetas each. On the free market, they may fetch 3 or 4 pesetas more, so it will pay you to inquire and to stock up with your legal limit (see "On entering" above) if you expect to make a substantial sojourn in Spain. A money declaration is required, and will be taken seriously in Spain. After you have filled it out and had it stamped do not mislay it. You'll need it whenever you exchange money and also upon leaving the country.See Also Money Issued:ROSA AMERICANA, in numismatics, the ime applied to a coinage issued in 1722 by Great ritain for the American colonies. It consisted ia mixed metal resembling brass, and was called osa Americana or Wood's money, after its Bnufacturer, William Wood. The royal letters itent described this money as twopence, pence, id halfpence. See also NUMISMATICS.
ROSACEA, ACNE ROSACEA, or 6UTTA ROSEA.
No country has a direct and decisive control over gold. If gold were replaced by inconvertible dollars or money issued by an international board, therefore, governments and central banks would find it more difficult to safeguard the autonomy and independence of their own mone¬tary matters. For acceptance of an inconvertible dollar exchange standard or of money controlled by an international board would be like having two central banks—one at home and the other in Washington.
On The Other Hand See Spend Money On Extra:Typically, you may spend from three to eight percent of your gross on advertising. Keep in mind that the commitment to spend the money over the entire year is much more important than the amount of money you allocate toward advertising. Nothing will waste money faster than to spend a large amount of money in the beginning of the campaign, and when results are not immediately forthcoming, to pull back and stop advertising.
Spend your money according to your plan. Make some adjustments during the year to fine tune your efforts, but keep at it for the rest of the year. You will be surprised how this commitment to results will pay off despite some temporary misgivings.
It can be argued, for instance, that if children were more strongly motivated to read, and reading standards were im¬proving, then the school would probably need to spend money on extra books. Success in reading should spur children to read more, and as reading improves, books at more advanced levels will be required. So if we ask schools whether they are spending more money on books, and what sort of books they are buying, we have an objective measure, which probably reflects the attitudinal and motivational changes in the school. |
